ORBIS - Spherical CPU: Concept Sketch & Block Diagram

Codename: ORBIS
Short Description: Concept of a hemispherical/sphere-like high-performance computing unit with a robust and practical copper resonator core (with barrier coating against liquid metals), radial cooling channels, diamond-based heat spreaders, and modular qubit/computing sectors.

ORBIS Concept Quantum Computer without Cryo Cooling

1. High-Level Architecture (Overview)

2. Function Blocks (short)

3. Materials & Coatings (Recommendation)

4. Thermal Paths (Brief Description)

  1. Hotspot (Die / Qubit) → local micro-heatpipe / vapor chamber → Radial channel (liquid metal / PCM)

  2. Radial channel → inner vapor chamber / heat pipe network to the core

  3. Core distributes/buffers heat to the diamond outer shell

  4. Outer shell → external cooler (air / liquid cooling interface)

Note: The goal is short, low-impedance heat paths; the diamond outer shell minimizes temperature gradients.

5. Electrical and Communication Paths

6. Control & Safety

7. Modularity & Manufacturing Notes (Conceptual)

8. Risks & Countermeasures (Technical)

9. Simple Schematic Block Diagram (ASCII)
